Vestibular

Your Vestibular system, located in your inner ear, is needed for balance and sense of position. Coordinated muscle movements continually move your body and keep it in an upright position. If any of the systems are disrupted, balance problems and dizziness can occur.

At Advanced Care Physical Therapy, our vestibular rehabilitation program offers an effective, non-invasive and drug-free treatment for people who suffer from inner ear disorders such as

  • Movement-related dizziness
  • Vertigo
  • Imbalance

Treatments for balance dysfunction vary and depend on the factors that cause it. The goals of vestibular therapy and balance retraining are to

  • Decrease dizziness
  • Improve balance function
  • Improve visual motor control
  • Increase general activity levels
  • Help your body compensate for inner ear disorders

At Advanced Care Physical Therapy, you will receive one-on-one care from one of our qualified therapists. Your therapist will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that includes exercise and movement programs to promote optimal function and safe mobility.
