Kristy started working at ACPT following graduation, where she focused on rehabilitation of orthopedic conditions such as low back, neck and shoulder dysfunction. Kristy attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, where she received her undergraduate degree in health sciences and then went on to receive her masters and doctorate in physical therapy. She has attended numerous continuing education courses for temporomandibular/facial pain, spine, and extremity rehabilitation to further advance clinical skills. Kristy has a special interest in the treatment of neck, head and face pain and has completed coursework specific to this area. She participated in educational opportunities with Steve Kraus, completed CRAFTA-1 Foundations: Craniomandibular, Assessment and Management and CRAFTA-2 Foundations: Craniofacial Assessment and Management.
She enjoys working at a facility that promotes overall health and wellness model using an integrative approach. Furthermore, at ACPT we are able to collaborate with leading professionals in our community. Kristy looks forward to continuing her collaboration with specialist Dr. Jeff Goldberg, as he transitions his practice into the DENT Tower.
At ACPT Kristy most enjoys working in an environment that encourages continued learning. She also enjoys participating in continuing education classes and mentoring PT and PTA students. Outside of work she looks forward to spending time with her family, spoiling her Yorkie Bowser, being outdoors and working out.
According to Kristy, “As a physical therapist, I am able to follow my patients from beginning to end. This allows me to be more involved and creative with their rehabilitation program. Each person is unique and we need to mold our treatment concepts to fit the individual. “What her patients are saying:“Kristy was just great.”“Working with Kristy was so enjoyable.
