Cervical Fusion

Months of Healing, then Rehabilitation

Spinal fusion is surgery connecting at least two vertebrae in the spine–in the case of cervical fusion, the vertebrae in the neck. The procedure, which mimics the normal healing process of broken bones, renders the affected vertebrae fixed and immobile relative to one another. Spinal fusion is used to correct spinal deformities, weakness, or instability, or a herniated disc.

Treatments We Provide

Physical therapy is crucial in helping patients through the recovery and rehabilitation processes that follow spinal fusion. After your hospital stay and months-long healing period, we can teach you how to properly move, sit, stand, and walk and improve your range of motion and flexibility through exercises such as shoulder shrugs and press-ups.
