Advanced Care Physical - Tele-Health

In recent days, in response to the unfolding of the dramatic and unprecedented COVID-19 health crisis, we at Advanced Care Physical Therapy have doubled our commitment to our patients and stepped up our efforts to support them. We have lost no time in looking for new systems and solutions that will allow us to continue our mission. We are ready to launch a system that will allow us to provide treatments online, an approach called Telehealth.

"In the present emergency situation, we have unified processes in order to produce a complete remote Telehealth experience for our patients .This approach is an important opportunity for patients to utilize in order to access one of our physical therapists in order to continue communications as well as with rehabilitation exercises. Our goal is to continue with our patients and help them navigate any questions they may have and progress their rehab program remotely. This new approach also reflects our determination to do all we can to reduce the burden on our National Health Care System, which is wrestling with the emergency, and also to do our part for our community and for the many families that face unexpected economic hardship. This telemedicine service will be accessible to all of our existing patients. Our offices remain open as we are an essential business as declared by the Federal Government. Our staff has reduced, as mandated, and our treating therapists are staggering their days and hours to accommodate patients. We strongly feel that we are offering an important service, available to the patients already in our care.

Should we have been looking for further confirmation of the value of our approach, in recent days the New England Journal of Medicine published an editorial entitled Virtually Perfect? Telemedicine for Covid-19, which remarks that "disasters and pandemics pose unique challenges to health care delivery.

Though Telehealth will not solve them all, it's well suited for scenarios in which infrastructure remains intact and clinicians are available to see patients".

Advanced Care Physical Therapy has equipped itself to be able to provide this valuable Telehealth service remotely for the safety of our patients.
