Laura Murray, PTA

A licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, Laura received her A.A.S. degree from Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY. Laura is an FMS certified exercise professional.

Laura is a focused clinician who enjoys having a career where she can motivate and help patients in their healing process.She strives to treat each patient as an individual and finds very creative ways to best keep them motivated. Laura feels that ensuring that our patients feel comfortable with our treatment approach is a priority.Some injuries require techniques that at times can be trying , she creates an atmosphere in which patients can feel at ease during such treatment. Laura ensures that each patient understands the treatment that has been designed for them as well as keep the lines of communication open between the patient and the therapist.

Education is also important to Laura.In addition to patient education, she has spent time mentoring high school students as well as PTA students from several schools and PTA programs. A primary area that she addresses is injury PREVENTION . She has spent numerous hours educating athletes of all ages on injury prevention and constructed  personalized corrective exercise programs to aid in the prevention of injury . She feels strongly that athletes should be IN the game not on the sideline injured.

Laura’s involvement in continuing education  enables her to introduce patients to the latest and newest treatments there are to offer all patients.

Outside of the clinic, Laura enjoys spending time with her family where you can find them on the hiking , biking and running trails. She is a volunteer for Niagara Hospice and is an avid sports fan.
