In 1993, Julie received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York. Julie worked in Miami, Florida for several years before returning to the Buffalo area. In 1998, Julie and her husband Craig started Advanced Care Physical Therapy. Julie is a C1/C2 BSPTS Scoliosis Physical Therapist specializing in the Schroth Method. In addition to being passionate about working with adolescents and adults, who have Scoliosis ,she continues to work with outpatient orthopedic clients.
“I want each patient to feel like my only patient. That means I am always totally focused on the patient I am treating. It’s important to me to be considerate of your time, to earn your confidence and trust and to make a positive difference in your life.”
In addition, Julie is a knowledgeable speaker on sports injury topics and strives to empower her patients to overcome pain and injury. She says, “One of my goals is to empower my patients and give them the courage to get back to the way of life they had before. I want to give people the confidence to succeed in their fight to overcome pain and injury. An important part of this process is educating my patients about their bodies– whether it’s about their sports injury or their scoliosis.”
